An Unexpected Blessing

An Unexpected Blessing

A few days ago, my family and I were heading from a missions conference in Indiana to a meeting in Georgia. The trip was more than one day of driving so we stopped at a hotel for the night. The next morning, I was packing the car up so we could continue the drive when a construction worker walked up to me. He started the conversation off by saying, “so what church do you go to?” This kind of caught…

Answered Prayer!

Answered Prayer!

If you were able to read our last prayer letter, you know that the Lord answered all of our prayers about us finding a vehicle to finish our second half of deputation. Well, here it is!!!

Praying in Public

Praying in Public

Something interesting happened to us last night. It was neat to see what can happen when you just go about living your daily Christian life. Savannah and I went to a pizza place for dinner, and as we were waiting for the pizza to be made we found a table and went ahead and prayed for the food we were about to receive. A lady at the next table over leaned over and almost at a whisper said, “It’s really…

The Blessing of Met Needs

The Blessing of Met Needs

Savannah and I had a huge blessing that we wanted to share with you. A missionary that we know is moving to another country in Africa and is unable to take her furniture and items with her. She contacted us to see if we wanted to buy the items from her at a discounted price. We talked about each of the items and purchased a majority of what was for sale. These items will greatly help us in multiple ways!…

The Blessing of Christian Fellowship

The Blessing of Christian Fellowship

This couple is on fire for the Lord, and it was a blessing to be able to sit down with them over a meal and hear about their field as well as share about ours. We also were able to talk about practical things like different discipleship programs and outreach…

The Blessing of the Children

The Blessing of the Children

Recently, Savannah and I had the opportunity to go to a Christian school’s chapel service in Northern Virginia. It was 1st through 3rd grade chapel, but some of the older elementary grades came to be part of the service as well. We showed the deputation video, and then I preached to them about being an ambassador for Christ. Afterward, we got to answer questions about the mission field of Uganda for about half an hour. As the time seemed to…

The Encouragement of Faithfulness

The Encouragement of Faithfulness

Earlier this week, Savannah and I were in central Virginia at a meeting. As we got to sit down with the pastor after the service, it was so encouraging to hear about his church. The pastor explained that around 70% of the church members were involved in at least one ministry around the church. This number was a HUGE encouragement to me. The more and more American culture gets away from God, the less involved people tend to be. Sadly,…
